seventh annual graduate studies and research in education conference
(thunder bay - february 17, 2005) the seventh annual graduate studies and research in education conference will take place on saturday, february 19.
this year's opening address is entitled "assessing our 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 : how the province helps boards and schools make the grade" and will be presented by dr. jennifer adams (lakehead district school board).
the keynote address entitled "so many tests...so much data?" will be given by dr. ruth childs.

biographies
dr. ruth childs is a faculty member at the ontario institute for studies in education of the university of toronto (oise/ut), where she teaches in the graduate and initial teacher education programs. her research includes analysis approaches for large-scale testing programs and the impacts of testing programs. she is currently working on a project funded by the social sciences and humanities research council of canada, studying how ontario grade 3 teachers prepare their 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 for the province-wide standardized tests. before joining oise/ut, professor childs worked with testing programs in the u.s.
dr. jennifer adams is the superintendent of education for the lakehead district school board. she received her phd from the ontario institute for studies in education of the university of toronto (oise/ut). she chaired the writing team that developed the first eqao grade 3 provincial assessment. she worked as a member of the assessment training consortium, a group of 8 school boards focused on improving assessment literacy in the province of ontario. jennifer is currently a member of the provincial advisory committee: misa (managing information for student achievement).
