lakehead presents orillia campus masterplan
members of the university community areinvited to attend a meeting
at which the plansdeveloped for the permanent campus site of the
orillia campus will be presented. the review takes place at 9:00 a.m. on wednesday, july 16 (atac 2001).
a two-stage process of consultation with user groups is being undertaken. the first phase concluded with the development of the "functional program" for the phase i building and the "masterplan" for the full campus buildout. these documents were submitted to the city of orillia to begin the re-zoning process on monday, june 16.

architects have recently been hired to turn the "functional program" for phase i into the schematic design for the first building. if lakehead is to stay on schedule with its plan to open the campus in the fall of 2010, the schematic design must be completed by mid-august.
members of the integrated project team and the architects would like to review these materials with interested parties as the schematic design is developed. this is a critical opportunity for members of the university community to review the work that has been done to date and to provide input into the next stage of the design process.
