lakehead receives $957,081 in new sshrc grants

(may 26, 2008 - thunder bay, on) 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 faculty members have received nine new social sciences and humanities research council of canada (sshrc) grants this year, totalling $442,081. the projects span various disciplines including sociology, economics, business administration, education, psychology, history, philosophy, and social work. grants will be used to build upon each researcher's field of study. in addition, 16 lakehead graduate 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 have received postgraduate scholarships, one of whom is the recipient of a canada graduate scholarship. the total value of these graduate student awards is $515,000.

research in the social sciences and humanities builds understanding about individuals, groups and societies -- what we think, how we live, and how we interact with each other and the world around us. dean of lakehead's faculty of graduate studies, dr. gary boire, notes the importance of graduate student work on the impact of this branch of research as well as that of sshrc's various research, training, and funding programs.
