qualitative data analysis in nvivo

accessing nvivo

you can access nvivo in person or remotely::

1. on site access to nvivo

  • on any of the 26 windows computers available at the chancellor paterson library computer lab (li 1003) 
    • you can use any of the computers if the lab is not booked for lectures or workshops
  • on any of the 16 windows computers available at the main floor of the chancellor paterson library

note: please make sure to save your work on your google drive or external drive when working on the library computers.

 

2. virtual access to nvivo

  • all 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 and faculty members have access to the virtual lab. nvivo is available off campus via the desktop experience
  • instructions to access nvivo through the virtual lab can be found in this link

note: please ensure that you save any work to google drive, or that you download it to your local computer before leaving the virtual lab environment, as any work not saved externally will be lost.

nvivo workspace

nvivo workspace has the following elements:

nvivo workspace

1. ribbon - access to toolbars for nvivo commands

2. navigation - access all the items in your project (e.g., data, coding, cases, notes, sets, queries, and visualizations)

3. list view - displays the contents of a folder selected in the navigation bar.

4. detail view - explores the content of your project items in detail.

5. coding bar - quickly code content and also see a quick summary of the number of items coded.
