the r&d partnership fund – c/av and smart mobility – stream 2 program supports projects related to the development, testing, validation, and demonstration of connected and autonomous vehicle (c/av) and smart mobility technologies in the following priority areas:

• mass light vehicles, such as cars, trucks, and vans
• heavy duty vehicles, including commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, recreational vehicles (rvs), and others used for goods movement
• transportation infrastructure
• intelligent transportation systems (its)
• transit-supportive systems and vehicles

the collaborative research and training experience (create) program supports the training and mentoring of teams of highly qualified 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 and postdoctoral fellows from canada and abroad through the development of innovative training programs that

• encourage collaborative and integrative approaches, and address significant scientific challenges associated with canada’s research priorities
• facilitate the transition of new researchers from trainees to productive employees in the canadian workforce

these innovative programs must foster the acquisition and development of important professional skills among 世界杯2022赛程表淘汰赛 and postdoctoral fellows that complement their qualifications and technical skills, and improve their job readiness for careers in industry, government, non-governmental organizations and/or academia.

as in the past, it is anticipated that 阿根廷vs墨西哥竞猜 will have a quota of two letters of intent that it can submit to the nserc create competition.  if researchers intend to submit a loi to this program, they are asked to notify the office of research services (ahacquo1@lakeheadu.ca) by february 1, 2023  of their intention to apply to this opportunity.  if more than two teams indicate that they are submitting an loi to the create program, an internal competition will need to be held to determine which two lois will be submitted to nserc.  for more information, please click here.

the genomic applications partnership program (gapp) funds downstream research and development (r&d) projects that address real-world opportunities and challenges defined by “receptor” organizations such as industry, government, or not-for-profit entities. these organizations should have the expertise, resources and commitment to commercialize or implement the project’s outcomes. projects must be active collaborations between the receptor organization (canadian or international) and a canadian academic researcher. both must play an integral role in the project. these projects are co-funded by receptors and other stakeholders and must have the potential to generate significant social and/or economic benefits for canada.

this year idrc will offer research awards related to these development areas or themes:  climate-resilient food systems,  democratic and inclusive governance,  education and science,  ethics in development research,  global health, policy and evaluation, and  sustainable inclusive economies.

all awards will be based in ottawa except for the global health award that will be based in nairobi.

if your research proposal is selected, you will join idrc as a research award recipient for a period of 12 months from 1 may 2023 to 30 april 2024 to undertake research on the topic you have submitted. you will receive hands-on experience in research and program management and support, grant administration, and the creation, dissemination, and use of knowledge from an international perspective.

the specific objectives of this funding opportunity are:

• to promote the creation of new knowledge that is relevant to communities affected by hiv/aids and/or other stbbi in canada;
• to promote the dissemination of new knowledge and uptake of evidence into action to enhance the community response to hiv/aids and/or other stbbi;
• to develop partnerships between researchers and affected communities;
• to build capacity in the knowledge user community to engage in research and use evidence in their everyday business;
• to build the next generation of hiv/aids and stbbi cbr researchers through meaningful engagement of trainees in high quality cbr projects; and
• to reduce the incidence of new hiv/aids infections and/or other stbbi in key populations by focusing research on prevention efforts.

the purpose of this fellowship program is to highlight the role of women in devising scientific solutions to problems confronting humankind in the 21st century.  the program supports major research projects undertaken by women scientists at the postdoctoral level in canada. 

the international joint initiative for research in climate change adaptation and mitigation represents a collaboration among research funders from brazil, canada, germany, norway, south africa, switzerland, the united kingdom and the united states to leverage international expertise to tackle the global challenges caused by climate change. climate change has been recognized as the single most important threat to the future well-being and prosperity of our planet and all who inhabit it.
