we recognize that every student's path is different, which is why we accept most transfer credits from accredited colleges and universities. there are three ways for you to transfer to lakehead.
1. transfer into any undergraduate degree program
you can apply directly to most undergraduate programs at lakehead. when you apply, we automatically assess your previous coursework from college or university and determine how it applies toward your degree. our goal is to maximize your previous learning so you can complete your degree faster.
2. transfer through a designated pathway
lakehead has formal transfer agreements with many ontario colleges and other partner institutions. these pathways are designed to provide a clear and structured route from diploma to degree. if you qualify for a pathway, you may receive advanced standing and a defined route to graduation.

3. transfer into the engineering post-diploma program
lakehead's engineering college transfer program is specifically designed for graduate engineering technologists.
this pathway allows eligible diploma graduates to earn a bachelor of engineering degree in as little as two years.
programs are accredited and meet academic requirements toward professional licensure.
