starting university this fall? registration ready (formerly fast pass) is a webinar series designed to help you with the course registration process and other important aspects of your university career, like navigating the academic calendar, understanding university regulations and the requirements of your program, and understanding how to pay for your education.

we offer two different types of registration ready webinars:

  • registration 101
  • registering & paying for university

registration 101

registration 101 webinars offer a thorough, step-by-step demonstration of the registration process. whether you are an undergraduate, graduate, domestic or international student, we have a registration 101 webinar specifically for you!

international undergraduate registration 101

this webinar is for you if you are:

  • an international student
  • starting an undergraduate (honours or bachelor's) program

during this webinar, you will:

  • learn how to navigate the academic calendar and myportal

this webinar will help you understand how to register for courses and how to pay for your education. we'll walk you through the basics of course registration and introduce you to funding options like osap, scholarships, and bursaries — so you can feel confident and prepared as you begin your studies.

this webinar is for you if you are:

  • a domestic student
  • starting an undergraduate (honours or bachelor's program)
  • looking to learn how to apply for osap and access funding in addition to learning about course registration

during this webinar, you will:

  • explore funding options including osap, scholarships, and bursaries (myawards)
  • learn how to apply for osap and plan a simple budget for your first year
  • have the opportunity to ask questions and get support from lakehead staff

attending registration ready

to get the most out of your registration ready webinar and ensure you have access to search, plan, and register for courses, you'll need to accept your offer of admission and pay your confirmation deposit at least 2-3 business days in advance of the the webinar. additionally, before the webinar, make sure you are able to log in to myportal using your lakehead credentials. if you are attending a registering & paying for university session, it will be helpful to have a general idea of your expected costs (such as tuition and living expenses).
